Sam Bush - Managing Director
Sam is based in our head office in Albury, Australia. He has been involved in sales and marketing of vegetable seeds for over 20 years. This experience has spanned over Australia and New Zealand as well as working for a number of years in North America. He has worked for local businesses exporting throughout the world as well as multinational companies.
Sam’s most recent position, prior to founding Murray River Seed Co, was as the Head of Sales for North and South America for BASF vegetable seed business (Nunhems). This recent position as well as previous roles in export management has given Sam exposure to the major global markets which have provided him insights into the market dynamics in many areas throughout the world.
Jovan Djordjevic - R&D Director
Jovan is Serbian-American, located in California, USA. In addition to his interest in Murray River Seed Co, Jovan is also the Director of UC Davis Plant Breeding Academy & President of F2GEN LLC, Plant Breeding and Business Strategies. Jovan started his career in Serbia as a maize breeder before moving to France and Canada to lead corn & canola hybrid breeding.
In 2010, he relocated to USA where he led solanum and sweet corn crops breeding.
Prior to founding Murray River Seed Co, Jovan was the Global R&D Team Lead, and Strategic Crop Committee Lead for Bayer/BASF (Nunhems) where he was responsible for designing and implementing the Cucurbits Crop and R&D Strategy globally.
